This past weekend, while Kodi and I were on an early morning walk I had the urge to head for Sugar Hill, New Hampshire.
A shoulder season is a period between “peak” and “off-peak” seasons, or what Mike Somers, president and CEO of the New Hampshire Lodging and Restaurant Association calls “the time between mud and twigs.”
Prior to becoming a police officer she served in the U.S. Army Military Police Corps as a corrections specialist at the United States Disciplinary Barracks in Ft. Leavenworth, Kansas, and shortly after worked as a corrections officer at the Strafford County Department of Corrections.
The partisan divide in the legislature was no more apparent than in the redrawing of the political boundaries for congressional districts, the executive council, and the state Senate and House, which has to be done every 10 years to align seats with population shifts.
The scene never gets old. I promised myself that I would never take this for granted. A reminder that I get to live where people vacation.

Of course, I cannot comment specifically on any cases pending against me, but I will

The two-year budget passed last year contained major changes in state policies not seen in decades. Budgets always contain some policy changes that should require separate legislation, but not to the extent the current budget package did.
