In a roundtable press availability on Wednesday following the Executive Council meeting, Gov. Chris Sununu discussed the unsolved double homicide of a Concord couple and the Massachusetts report from the child advocate on Harmony Montgomery, the missing Manchester girl.
After a thorough vetting, the Executive Council voted 4-1 to support a key housing initiative of Governor Chris Sununu’s that would provide $100 million in federal funding for housing projects to allow them to be quickly built and finished to meet needs of the state for low- to moderate-rental housing and providing incentives for municipalities to support such housing.

WARREN/PIERMONT — Opposition by more 1,300 people has delayed plans by the White Mountain National Forest to employ “silvicultural treatments” to some 945 acres of the 5,375 acres of land placed under its care in August 2000.
On Friday, the state reported 23 COVID-19 hospitalizations. The NHHA website reported 93 total confirmed cases in the state’s hospitals, with 26 patients being treated specifically with COVID-19 medications.
Two state Senators – Lou D’Allesandro, D-Manchester, and Bill Gannon, R-Sandown, attended Thursday’s session via video because they both had tested positive for COVID-19, D’Allesandro said Friday.
The state Senate passed a bill that would create a Parents Bill of Rights on Thursday. House Bill 1431 now goes to the Finance Committee.
CONCORD – A bill that would have allowed adults to possess up to three-quarters of an ounce of marijuana and grow up to six plants at home was killed in the Senate 15 to 9 on Thursday.
