What People Say About Us…

“Who does New Hampshire want to have its back when the next hare-brained, get-rich-quick, cockeyed, scenery-trashing, money-grubbing scheme threatens New Hampshire’s greatest legacy---it landscape? Well, I’ll want the reporters and editors at InDepthNH.org---the only news medium that staffed the critical Northern Pass hearings, from beginning to end. InDepthNH.org---good, solid, statewide news coverage, the kind you can depend on, the way things used to be and the way they should.”
John Harrigan, writer
Colebrook

"We desperately need investigative news organizations like InDepthNH to counter the fake Facebook postings and toxic partisan diatribe masquerading as the truth. I’m immensely grateful to InDepthNH for the invaluable work they do."
Gloria Norris
Filmmaker, author of KooKooland

“New Hampshire owes a debt of gratitude to IndepthNH.org for its investigative journalism covering government accountability issues. It has been a pleasure teaming up with them to enhance government transparency and accountability in the Granite State.”
Gilles Bissonnette
ACLU-NH Legal Director

"The arrival of InDepthNH.org has been a game changer. It has filled the void of providing investigative journalism in New Hampshire. InDepthNH.org has provided ethical, quality journalism on issues that impact the lives of New Hampshire citizens daily. In addition to giving a voice and a platform to those who would otherwise be voiceless."

By SUSAN DROMEY HEETER, Budget Vogue As the interminable year of 2025 comes to a close, I am reminded that, while this Budget Vogue fashionista had a year of challenges, change and AFGO’s (Another F'ing Growth Opportunity), there were moments of joy, of laughs and times of relief so great there ought to be a word.  Okay, I’ll designate the word: rewhew. It’s not in the dictionary yet - but just you wait, one day it will show up.

  • BREAKING: DLCC Adds New Hampshire to Battleground Target Map

New data from the DLCC shows a once-in-a-generation opportunity in the 2026 midterms to shift the balance of power in state legislatures in states like New Hampshire  The DLCC is announcing an expanded target map and a $50 million political budget for 2026 to deliver new majorities, trifectas, and increased power for Democrats across the map  WASHINGTON — Today, the Democratic Legislative Campaign Committee (DLCC) unveiled a new memo on our 2026 strategy and budget to transform the landscape of power in state legislatures – including adding the New Hampshire House and Senate as immediate flip opportunities in 2026. The DLCC’s data shows that state legislative Democrats overperformed 2025 elections in targeted districts by 4.5 points on average, which if replicated in 2026 elections, would put flipping New Hampshire’s legislature within reach and create the most significant Democratic gains at this ballot level in two decades.  Alongside moving New Hampshire from a long-term to an immediate flip opportunity, the DLCC is expanding our target map to include 42 chambers – the most targets ever – and announcing a $50 million political budget for 2026, the largest single-year budget to date.
