A Young Skier, a Worker and Others Speak Out About Chaos at Gunstock

 Among the 80 people who went to the Gunstock Area Commission meeting Friday hoping to speak directly to Commissioner Dr. David Strang to get him to resign and allow the area to reopen was a young, local girl who said she does not want to find another place to ski this winter if it is to close.

Gunstock Commission Chair Ness Resigns via Zoom at Emergency Meeting

With Gunstock Area Commission Chairman Peter Ness resigning Friday, and the former management team of Gunstock Mountain Resort signing documents indicating they would come back to work immediately if Dr. David Strang also resigns, the remaining two members gave Strang until 5 p.m. to resign and pleaded with legislators and the public to make that happen.

DES To Take Public Comment On Solid Waste Management Plan

The Waste Management Division of the state Department of Environmental Services will be taking public comment in August on its draft Solid Waste Management Plan, which has not been updated since 2003.

Questions Raised About Donation From Gunstock To Sununu’s 2020 Campaign

GILFORD – Republican candidate for governor Karen Testerman has called for an outside investigation of a Sept. 18, 2020 check for $500 to the campaign of Gov. Chris Sununu which was signed by Tom Day, who was then Gunstock’s general manager. The check was written on a Gunstock Area Commission account.
