Matt Simon: A Battle of Cannabis Bills HB629 and HB1598

On Wednesday and Thursday of this week, two bills dealing with the state’s cannabis laws will be a focus of the Senate. On April 20, HB1598 goes before the Ways and Means Committee to talk about the legalization and possession of cannabis sold through a state liquor store model.

Sununu Joins 17 Governors Opposing Federal Charter School Mandates

Letter: “We oppose any attempts by the federal government to act as a national charter school board, impose a top-down and one-size-fits-all approach, and undermine the authority of parents to choose the educational option best for their child.  Specifically, we take issue with both the substance and process of the proposed rule, and therefore, we ask that the comment period be extended, the community impact analysis requirement be removed, and implementation be delayed by one year.”
