Two People Die in Roxbury, NH Early Morning Crash

On Thursday, October 12, 2023, at approximately 3:36 a.m., Troop C dispatch received a report of a serious motor vehicle collision on Route 9 in Roxbury near the Sullivan town line.
As directed by their respective legislatures decades ago, Vermont Attorney General Charity Clark and New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella today met on the Norwich, Vermont-Hanover, New Hampshire bridge spanning the Connecticut River to “perambulate” the sister states’ border.
The NH Medical Examiner’s Office identified the victim as 80-year-old Judith Michael of Nashua, NH. The cause of death of Mrs. Michael was smoke inhalation and the manner of her death was accidental.
“I am honored to announce that I have been named one of the recipients of the first “50 under 50″ award from the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC).”
Over the past day and a half, law enforcement arrested nine of these defendants on conspiracy to distribute controlled substances charges, namely fentanyl and cocaine, while two others were in state custody, serving prison sentences in New Hampshire and Massachusetts.
On Thursday, the New Hampshire Department of Safety brought together partners from State, municipal and community organizations for an open discussion and to provide guidance on how to combat hate crimes.
The victim was transported to the hospital where they died. Two other residents of the home were also transported to Southern New Hampshire Medical Center and they were transferred to a Boston hospital.
The Governor will first travel to Kuwait to visit the New Hampshire National Guard’s 3rd Battalion, 197th Field Artillery Regiment, which is deployed to Central Command (CENTCOM) in support of Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield.
At approximately 4:00 AM, corrections staff noticed a resident in the health services unit that appeared to be in distress. The resident was pronounced dead soon after.
