Seacoast Art Association Announces March Theme Show Awards

The Winner of the People’s Choice was Nottingham’s William Kramer for his Acrylic on Panel, “February Walk.” 

The Seacoast Artist Association has announced the winners for their March theme show, “Shadows and Light.” 

Best In Show has gone to Peter Gumaskas of Goffstown for his photograph “The Light in the Place,” taken while hiking North Brother Mountain in Baxter State Park in Maine in 2022.  His used a large format 5×7 film camera for this shot. The Winner of the People’s Choice was Nottingham’s William Kramer for his Acrylic on Panel, “February Walk.”   This award is chosen by the attendees of the SAA’s Second Friday artist reception and receives a free future entry.  

The next theme is “Pure Poetry” in honor of National Poetry Month.  Create a piece of artwork from a favorite poem!  Submissions are due via emailing your name, title, medium, price, phone number, along with a good jpeg, if possible, to themeshowsubmissions@seacoastartist.org by 3/28.  Drop off is 3/30, 10-2.  Rules and form to be filled out ahead of time can be found at seacoastartist.org.  Please bring your poem on a white 4×6 card with your work.   

The Seacoast Artist Association is located at 130 Water Street in historical downtown Exeter.  They are open Wed-Sat, 10-5 and Sun, 1-4.  Artist receptions with refreshments and music are held the Second Friday of the month from 5-7 and the public is invited.
