A new University of New Hampshire poll shows that the majority of New Hampshire residents oppose overturning Roe v. Wade and oppose any restrictions on a woman’s right to choose, and nearly one-third of Roe v. Wade supporters would be more likely to vote in the fall if it were overturned.
The Foundation is making recommendations: calling on the governor to nominate more women and minorities to reflect the state’s population; that there be more women on the governor’s judicial selection commission; and that they publish gender/minority data, along with the New Hampshire Bar Association.
Gov. Chris Sununu signed a bill Friday removing ultrasound requirements within the state’s controversial new 24-week abortion ban.
A coalition of opponents of the so-called “provisional ballot” bill held a press conference on Monday urging the governor to veto the legislation.
