Reps. Sylvia, Silber Withstand Removal from County Convention Request

A citizens’ petition seeking the removal of Belknap County representatives Michael Sylvia, R-Belmont, and Norman Silber, R-Gilford, based on their exceeding appropriations for legal expenses as representatives of the County Convention, failed to gain traction due to the petitioners’ faulty reading of the statutes.

Monroe Drowning Victim Located

On Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at approximately 3:45 PM, NH Fish and Game located a deceased male subject along the shores of the Connecticut River in Monroe, NH. NH Fish and Game, NH State Police- Troop F and NH State Police- Marine Patrol recovered him from the water. The deceased victim was identified as the missing fisherman, Jonathan Zukowski, age 31, of Woodstock, NH.

N.H. Preservation Alliance Announces 11 Achievement Awards

Nine rescue, rehabilitation, and revitalization projects and two outstanding leaders of the preservation movement were honored in the N.H. Preservation Alliance’s annual awards on May 3. The 2022 slate includes the preservation of rare and iconic properties, stewardship of community assets and gathering places, and community development successes.   

Transit To Trails Launches in Manchester

Manchester Transit Authority, together with The Nature Conservancy in New Hampshire, today announced the launch of Transit to Trails, a pilot program providing transportation to walking and hiking trails, state parks and water destinations to Manchester residents utilizing the city bus service for $5: the price of a bus ticket.
