Haas, who formerly served as Chief of the Franklin, NH Police Department, was shot and killed in the line of duty at New Hampshire Hospital on November 17.

That disturbance triggered a shelter-in-place order for residents in the area of Central and West Bow Streets in Franklin overnight. That order has since been lifted.
On scene, they discovered a single adult male suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The male was transported to the Elliot Hospital where he died hours later.
Mr. Haas was a father and a law enforcement veteran who previously served as Chief of the Franklin Police Department in his hometown of Franklin, New Hampshire.
