Freedom, NH – After much reflection, the blessing of my entire family, and the urging of my closest colleagues and friends, today I am announcing that I will run for New Hampshire Senate District 3.

During my nine terms in the NH State House of Representatives, my priorities have always been to protect New Hampshire’s values of strong communities, low taxes and personal freedom. I have fought to bring common sense and consensus building to the legislature and stand up for everyone that I represent. I hope to bring the same commitment to the community and my years of experience to the State Senate.

As the chairman of the House Public Works and Highways Committee, I’ve focused on addressing our state’s infrastructure needs. Our state roads and bridges are crucial for local businesses, tourism and keeping our families safe. Whether it is protecting the shorelines and dams on our lakes, or improving safety on Route 16, these are the issues that truly touch the lives of our communities and I am very proud of my record of accomplishments.

During my time in the House, I have had the honor and privilege to serve a large number of the towns and communities within Senate District 3.  As part of my campaign, I am committed to traveling throughout Senate District 3 to introduce myself, take questions and make myself readily available. After all, the most important role as a legislator is listening to the concerns of the voters and responding to their needs.

Senator Bradley’s retirement announcement is a bittersweet moment for all of us. Jeb is an absolute legend in the New Hampshire State House and he is someone who I have always tried to model my legislative career after. He stood by his principles, while standing up for those he represented. These are the traits that I believe made him a great public servant, and the traits that I will continue to bring to the Senate.

I know that I speak for all Granite Staters when I say thank you Jeb for all that you have done for the state of New Hampshire. I wish Jeb and Karen the very best in whatever their future holds.
