Town Trash Bags are Never Re-Gifted
When I was in first grade, I thought of running away. I packed my ice skates in a suitcase. I am much older now, but if I were to run away, I’d still only pack my ice skates.

Susan Dromey Heeter is a writer from Dover who recently let her hair go au natural white. Writing has been her passion since her English majoring days at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Dromey Heeter has lived in The Netherlands, Alaska and currently basks in all things New England, including the frigid winters. An avid swimmer, Dromey Heeter’s great passion is to bring back body surfing as most children have no idea how to ride waves without ridiculous boogie boards.

And here we are, another midterm election over and I muse joyfully on the action taken by so many people around our beautiful country. We voted. We canvassed. We spoke our truth. We are recommitted to democracy.
One of my wants is that everyone vote. My want is that people vote for those running for office who inspire with integrity, with vibrance, with confidence.
If you’ve not seen political signs along the side of the roads, chances are, you’ve been stuck inside.
Sunday marked the end of the New Hampshire Film Festival and the two films that marked my finale included The Wet House and A Stage of Twilight.
As we both are fully in the dramas of our lives, the stars can vary – my star currently is moving.
I’ll ask and answer questions, watch some incredible films, compare the processes of film making to classroom management and teaching.
And the New Hampshire Film Festival runs Oct. 6 to Oct. 9. What celebs will be in the 603? What new films will be presented?
