Musing Joyfully on Voters

By SUSAN DROMEY HEETER, Joyful Musings

It’s a beautiful November day at my Joyful Musings desk, the morning air is crisp, the geese above form beautiful V’s, we have an extra hour of sleep this weekend, what more could we want?

Well, for me? One of my wants is that everyone vote. My want is that people vote for those running for office who inspire with integrity, with vibrance, with confidence.  And my want is for people to vote for those who believe in women, in their choices, their lives, their bodies.

I muse joyfully voters will stop the nonsense of violence, of lies, of believing my vote or your vote does not count because it does not align with their outcome.  Nonsense.

Susan Dromey Heeter, Joyful Musings

Nonsense is what I see with so many leaders, Chris Sununu with his hiring of Frank Edelblut as Education Commissioner.  Nonsense.  Vote Tom Sherman.  Nonsense with Don Bolduc who aligns himself with that former president who supports those who defecate in the Capitol.  Nonsense.  And coming from a military family, no amount of stars on anyone’s shoulders cancel out a lack of integrity spewing from Bolduc. Vote Maggie Hassan.

I muse joyfully you are angry enough at the nonsense of violence, misogyny and lies to vote.  And as for me? It’s not just a want, it’s a need.  Vote blue, vote for honesty, vote for those who will count your vote.

Now I shall look above and imagine that those geese flying in the form of a V for Victory. Vote.  Thank you.
