CONCORD – Three law enforcement names have been removed from New Hampshire’s secretive list of 171 officers with credibility, excessive force or mental instability issues since Attorney General Gordon MacDonald announced the new removal protocol on April 30.
Two Nevada laws designed to counter bad behavior by state prosecutors, or at least give some defendants the ability to undo troubling plea agreements, passed last week, although one was substantially gutted under pressure from prosecutors and police.
Rochester Police Officer John Gantert — who is out $20,000 from his unsuccessful attempt to remove his name from the secret “Laurie” list of potentially dishonest cops — is upset that legislation that would have protected law enforcement is now dead in the water.
