Gov. Chris Sununu said his administration is working with Vail Corporation to produce a better customer experience at state-owned Mount Sunapee.
At his weekly press briefing Wednesday in Concord, Sununu announced the $12 million purchase, approved by the Executive Council Wednesday, and he said they will be sold at a cost of about $17 per single test, which can be covered by insurance.
The state has agreed to purchase the 111-bed Hampstead Hospital in Hampstead on Wednesday to care for children, which will help to alleviate the state’s emergency room boarding crisis.
The problems with the rules indicate that much more vetting needed to be done on the legislation, which was pushed through last session by including it in the two-year budget package.
The state is opening new COVID-19 vaccination sites with no need for appointments in Stratham and Concord and has plans for more walk-in locations to open in Salem, Manchester, Nashua, and Keene before the end of the month.
With the number of new COVID-19 cases doubling in a week to about 2,500 a day across the state, Gov. Chris Sununu announced that the Omicron variant of COVID-19 is now the dominant strain and said hospitalizations will likely continue to be very high for the next two months.
