NH DHHS IDs 2 Kittens with Rabies in North Conway; Advises Avoiding Direct Contact with Stray Animals

The New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS) has identified rabies in two stray kittens from North Conway, New Hampshire. DHHS is advising residents to avoid direct contact with any stray, feral, or wild animals, including cats and kittens, and exercise caution around unvaccinated pets, which can be infected with rabies by wild animals.

Violence at Children’s Hampstead Hospital Prompts Questions About Contractor

With local police responding to 61 calls for service from June 2022 through last week to the new Hampstead Hospital for children with behavioral problems and another 73 calls to state police since Jan. 1, 2022, Republican Executive Councilor Janet Stevens of Rye questioned the Wellpath contract there and whether it will be renewed when it comes up in a few months.
