There are currently 33 hospitalized patients being treated for COVID-19. In New Hampshire, since the start of the pandemic, there have been a total of 323,897 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed.
The closure of five part-time Planned Parenthood of Northern New England health centers, including one in Claremont, and whether the Executive Council is responsible for the loss of access to rural reproductive health care were debated between Gov. Chris Sununu and Executive Councilor Cinde Warmington at Wednesday’s meeting.
DHHS will report only test results reported by healthcare providers. Because the use of COVID-19 home testing continues to increase, DHHS is no longer able to verify the accuracy of case positivity rates, so test positivity rates will no longer be reported.
On Wednesday, DHHS’s press release reported 608 new COVID-19 cases, 1 new death and 24 hospitalizations.

DHHS is reporting different numbers for COVID-19 hospitalizations than the New Hampshire Hospital Association website.
The state Department of Health and Human Services continues to lead its daily COVID-19 press releases (see below) with the number of total new cases even though Gov. Chris Sununu recently chided reporters for reporting the statistic saying it is vastly underreported because of home testing.

On Friday, the state reported 23 COVID-19 hospitalizations. The NHHA website reported 93 total confirmed cases in the state’s hospitals, with 26 patients being treated specifically with COVID-19 medications.
