A horrific crash that took the lives of seven motorcyclists last summer and seriously injured three others in Randolph was barely mentioned at a public hearing Tuesday that drew about 300 motorcycle enthusiasts to oppose a bill mandating helmet use.
Individuals convicted of animal cruelty in New Hampshire would be placed on a public offenders list and a person convicted of intentionally killing a pet would face a felony charge under two bills heard by the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee on Tuesday.
The list has been controversial because the names of the police officers are withheld from the public.

One bill looks at whether the state should set up a study committee to look at the idea of creating a citizens review board for police-involved shootings.
Jeffrey Woodburn has pleaded not guilty to the charges and will argue self-defense.
Incident occurred September 20, 2019 at 21 Hunt St., Nashua.
The lawsuit filed by Rilee and Associates says it represents 36 individuals so far.
