A Dip in The River On a Fine Fall Morning

Alas, some mornings I have company. There is a beaver who slaps his tail and warns me I’m too close to his family.

Alas, some mornings I have company. There is a beaver who slaps his tail and warns me I’m too close to his family.
So, Joyful Musers, it’s been a minute since we’ve chatted. How ARE you?
Every once in a while you have a moment when the universe whispers, “Hey, you’re in the cool club.” I had this moment when I attended the New Hampshire Association of World Language Teachers Conference in Concord in late March.
Every once in a while, it’s simply lovely to stop and remember what’s good, what’s worth a pause, what inspires gratitude. So, today, dear musers, I write a list of good moments, of pauses, of reflections of joy.
Susan Dromey Heeter is a writer from Dover who recently let her hair go au natural white. Writing has been her passion since her English majoring days at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Dromey Heeter has lived in The Netherlands, Alaska and currently basks in all things New England, including the frigid winters. An avid swimmer, Dromey Heeter’s great passion is to bring back body surfing as most children have no idea how to ride waves without ridiculous boogie boards.
This year she has collected over 400 gowns, all sizes, colors and styles. Prominence Boutique is open today, Saturday, March 4 from 10 – 6 and will be open again tomorrow from 10 – 3
Shakespeare once wrote, “Action is eloquence.” It’s from his play, Coriolanus, a play I’ve never read nor seen performed. But I muse joyfully on this quote as it’s so hopeful, persuasive, true to the adage, “Change your mind, move a muscle.”
It’s significantly warmer today, Joyful Musers, and it’s a good day to thaw and ask some questions, to muse on the answers, to wonder why.
Today I muse on the Academy Awards. I have not seen any of the films but hope to be prepared by the time the awards begin.
