Plymouth, NH – The American Civil Liberties Union of New Hampshire has filed a motion challenging the constitutionality of the border patrol checkpoints that occurred last August and September on Interstate 93 in Woodstock, New Hampshire. Woodstock is a small town (population 1,374) in the White Mountains—a popular tourist attraction—that is approximately 90 driving miles from the Canadian border.
CONCORD — Northern Pass’s buried transmission line through Easton would more than double the town’s property value, but the town has continually voted to oppose the $1.6 billion project, according to testimony.
UPDATED with comment from Environmental Defense Fund. HARTFORD, Conn. and BOSTON, Mass. (December 11, 2017) – Eversource Energy today put the Environmental Defense Fund (EDF) on notice that the company will pursue legal action if EDF doesn’t halt its false and defamatory statements regarding Eversource’s gas purchasing practices.
DOC consumes massive amounts of the budget with very little transparency. In addition to correctional activities, they are also in the health care business. But they are not subject to any inspections or reviews by any outside agencies. They determine it, administer it and decide its effectiveness.
Under the plan presented by the Department of Transportation, tolls at the Hooksett and Bedford booths would increase 50 cents to $1.50, and the Hampton toll booths would go from $2.00 to $2.50. The ramp or exit tolls would increase 25 cents to $1, which the EZ Pass discount would remain the same.
