Dear  Friend of InDepthNH.org,

Here at InDepthNH.org, we understand and insist on reporting unbiased news. And we know that, these days, the news can feel especially unpredictable and makes you wonder in New Hampshire who is really putting the money behind it and what they expect to get from it. Here you know who is paying for the news – you are and we thank you.

From the daily partisan political battles, whether citizens get their right to a fair trial if a police officer with credibility issues testifies against them, and what your public utility is up to, you need to be kept informed. Trust me, we do our level best to make sure you hear all sides no matter who is involved, that we chip away at the facade of the powerful and get to the truth because that is what you deserve and that is what news is all about. We do it without fear or favor.

So many of you have already given, but please remember we need to hire staff to build our business component this year as we continue on our New Hampshire Sustainable News Summit Project. Our goal is to find new ways to increase revenue in ways that serve the public good. We have launched our obituary page and Celebrating Pets column and plan our underwriting campaign for Jan. 1, 2023.

Your donation will be doubled by NewsMatch if you give before Dec. 31. You can donate here: https://indepthnh.org/donate/ or mail a check to NH Center for Public Interest Journalism, 38 Edgewater Drive, Barrington, NH 03825.

We also know it can feel overwhelming trying to keep up with all that news. And that’s why we exist. We’re here to sift through the noise and keep you informed on the issues that matter most to you. We have belonged to the Institute for Nonprofit News since 2015.

As a nonprofit news organization, we’re committed to telling the stories about New Hampshire that might otherwise go untold. But we need your help. Our reader-funded newsroom can’t run without your support.

We’re grateful that NewsMatch and local funders believe in the power of indepth high quality journalism with experienced people like Nancy West, Garry Rayno, Paula Tracy and others to strengthen our democracy. From now through the end of the year, we’re inviting you to join your fellow readers in making our work possible by making a donation. If you give by December 31, NewsMatch and local funders will maximize your investment in us by matching your donation.

What do you say? Will you stand up for nonprofit news that works for you?

Here are some photos of the people who bring you InDepthNH.org. We are the most experienced and talented journalists in the state, in my opinion. Thanks for supporting us.
