A major snowstorm Saturday dumped more than two feet of snow in the northern half of the state while leaving thousands without power from downed trees in a more wet band of snow and rain from Alton to Dunbarton to Sharon.
The state’s ski industry is facing its second major holiday period of the winter, again with rain in the forecast adding to the challenges posed by a pandemic.
LINCOLN – New Hampshire has four ski areas that are still open but with limited indoor access due to the global pandemic COVID-19. Reed Stevens, 99, of Concord was thrilled that he got in one more run on Friday before Loon Mountain closed.
