Maine Man Indicted For Allegedly Threatening N.H. Judge

New Hampshire Attorney General John Formella announces the indictment of Christopher Butler, age thirty six, of South Berwick, Maine, for two counts of Class B Felony charges of harm or threats to certain government officials.

Attorney General John M. Formella announces the arrest of Christopher Butler, age thirty six, of South Berwick, Maine on two class B felony counts of harm or threats to certain government officials, RSA 631:4-a, and one count class A misdemeanor count of criminal threatening, RSA 631:4.

  • NH State Police Allegedly Withheld Evidence in Rape Case

    By DAMIEN FISHER, InDepthNH.org A Massachusetts police officer sentenced to prison for rape could get a new trial as information emerges that New Hampshire State Police officials may have sat on evidence that undermines the credibility of a key witness. Former MBTA Officer Shawn McCarthy is seeking a new trial after he was convicted last year of sexually assaulting two women during a 2012 incident that took place in Boston.

  • AG Investigates Officer-Involved Shooting in Derry

    Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall announce an update on the investigation into the officer-involved shooting that occurred late Friday evening on Route 28 Bypass in Derry, New Hampshire. Around 9:20 p.m. Friday, Derry Police Officers attempted to make a traffic stop of a car being operated by Levi Coltey (age 26).  Mr. Coltey refused to bring his car to a stop.
