New Hampshire’s news media should not be shackled by the state Legislature to change the very foundation on which news is gathered and reported. Correcting a legitimate error is one thing, but being mandated to rewrite history to present day is unconstitutional.
Meeting Monday for the first time, the commission picked a leader and agreed to hold forums around the state as the members work to develop recommendations for the next legislature that serves beginning in 2021.
The Moms Demand Action meeting will not be open to the press, but former Mass. Governor Deval Patrick will hold a press availability after the meeting’s conclusion.
“My friends in California are working on robot trucks that can drive themselves. They tell me that they’re 98 percent of the way there,” Andrew Yang said.
“Rather than embracing the successful policies of Republican leadership, Democrats seem content to repeatedly try to undermine New Hampshire’s economic progress by mandating a 100% wage hike for some,” said House Republican Leader Dick Hinch.
Eversource wants to increase its annual revenues in New Hampshire by almost $70 million. That amounts to a rate hike of nearly 20 percent.
Rep. Ann Kuster, D-NH: “This afternoon, we were briefed by administration officials on the classified intelligence that prompted President Trump to order the Baghdad attack that killed General Soleimani. What I heard raises more questions than answers.”
The Executive Council will vote to approve or reject Shibinette at its regular meeting on Jan. 22.
The “Red Flag” bill’s prime sponsor Rep. Debra Altschiller, D-Stratham, said since the House Criminal Justice and Public Safety Committee first held a public hearing on the bill last spring, the state’s suicide and homicide rates have grown.
