Hillsborough Man Convicted of Financially Exploiting His Elderly Mother

On July 19, a jury found Jerry Newton guilty on 3 counts for unlawfully taking: (1) $227,460.94 from an individual retirement account listing his mother as the beneficiary; (2) $73,759.83 from his mother’s personal checking account; and (3) $22,168.14 from the sale of family trust property.
