It is also utilizing the New Hampshire National Guard to set up temporary sites to be used as hospitals if there is a surge and the number of COVID-19 patients exceeds the number of beds available.
Noyes was a 16-year-old student at Kennett High School in Conway when his father, New Hampshire Police Sgt. James Noyes, was killed in the line of duty in Gilford.
Community-based transmission has been identified in the majority of the counties in the State.
“It is with a heavy heart that we announce today the first COVID-19-related death in New Hampshire,” Gov. Sununu said.
Feltes also renewed his call for the minimum unemployment benefit to be raised from $32 to $250 ensuring that no Granite Staters receive less than $1000 per month.
Gov. Chris Sununu announced a news conference set for Monday at 1 p.m. in Concord, but has not publicly spoken of a plan to order a “shelter in place” for residents, or a mandatory closure of businesses.
