Food Insecurity Continues to Increase Among Granite Staters Since 2021

During the 2021-2023 period, approximately 42,300 New Hampshire households, or 7.4 percent of households in the state, were food insecure.
New data collected earlier this year show the cost of renting continues to rise in New Hampshire, increasing pressure on overall housing availability and the finances of Granite State renters.
These federal funds are available for deployment to help Granite Staters though enhanced FANF outreach and assistance, and may be used to help ease financial hardships for families with lower incomes due to rising costs and expiring federal supports associated with the COVID-19 pandemic.
