Democratic U.S. House candidate Stefany Shaheen accepted the endorsement of the League of Conservation Voters environmental advocacy group at a press conference in Merrimack, New Hampshire on Thursday. Shaheen affirmed her commitment to addressing climate issues in the Granite State, including reducing fossil fuel usage and ending the use of so-called “forever chemicals,” both of which she said were “so critical to our state.” Shaheen, the daughter of U.S. Sen. Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH), is running to represent New Hampshire’s 1st Congressional District, which encompasses the Eastern part of the state. It’s a crowded primary field. See below for all of the candidates from each party. The nonpartisan Cook Political Report rated the general election “Likely Democrat.”
