Sununu took to the radio Thursday morning on Jack Heath’s NH Today applauding ConvenientMD and blasting the Executive Council for voting on Wednesday to table the state’s request to withdraw $950 million from the treasury claiming lack of sufficient information from the governor’s office.
On Wednesday, the state reported 19 deaths from the novel coronavirus with a total number of deaths in the state at 111.
The state Department of Health and Human Services announced 19 news deaths from COVID-19, all related to long-term care facilities, bringing the total to 111.
One of the priorities is help for hospitals and committee members said they want to see the aid distributed as grants rather than the initial $50 million health-care emergency relief fund which has distributed about $18 million in low-interest loans.
The details of expanded testing came a day after the state released data for the first time that showed 77 percent of all COVID-19 deaths in New Hampshire were associated with long-term care facilities, the highest percentage in the country.
Some councilors are concerned that Gov. Chris Sununu is keeping them and state legislators out of the spending loop in violation of the state Constitution.

There have now been 2,636 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire.
Altogether, in the 16 facilities identified by the state in the newly released data, 473 residents have been infected, there have been 266 staff cases, 66 deaths and 18 with cause of death under investigation.
