Stratham SPCA and The Case of the 45 Cockatiels

New Hampshire’s largest animal shelter is used to housing all types of creatures — from ferrets to rabbits, turtles, guinea pigs, and, of course, cats and dogs. But the arrival of some 45 cockatiels from a home recently put the staff on high alert. They were rescued from a residence where the owner had passed away. Roger Wood spoke to Lisa Dennison, executive director of the Stratham SPCA, about their new arrivals and the success rate of adopting them out to new homes.
