2 New COVID-19 Deaths, 20 More Cases Wednesday

CONCORD – The state Department of Health and Human Services announced two additional deaths related to COVID-19 on Wednesday. They are two women from Hillsborough County, both 60 years of age and older.

The state also announced 20 new positive test results for COVID-19. There have now been 5,952 cases of COVID-19 diagnosed in New Hampshire. Several cases are still under investigation. Additional information from ongoing investigations will be incorporated into future COVID-19 updates. Of those with complete information, there are five individuals under the age of 18 and the rest are adults with 40% being female and 60% being male. The new cases reside in Rockingham (6), Grafton (2), Belknap (1), Hillsborough County other than Manchester and Nashua (1), Merrimack (1), and Strafford (1) counties, and in the cities of Manchester (5) and Nashua (3).

One new hospitalized case was identified for a total of 578 (10%) of 5,952 cases. Six of the new cases have no identified risk factors. Community-based transmission continues to occur in the State and has been identified in all counties. Most of the remaining cases have had close contact with a person with a confirmed COVID-19 diagnosis, recently traveled, or are associated with an outbreak setting.
