Susan Dromey Heeter is a writer from Dover who recently let her hair go au natural white. Writing has been her passion since her English majoring days at the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. Dromey Heeter has lived in The Netherlands, Alaska and currently basks in all things New England, including the frigid winters. An avid swimmer, Dromey Heeter’s great passion is to bring back body surfing as most children have no idea how to ride waves without ridiculous boogie boards.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: There were girls attired in Belle costumes; I saw one five year old in her blue nylon dress – and remarked, “I was going to wear that, too!”
JOYFUL MUSINGS: I once sent a friend a box of Kleenex and a flannel nightgown after her mom died.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: I practically leapt out of my seat, dropped my popcorn and announced, “I KNOW that cereal!”
JOYFUL MUSINGS: I spent four nights in my own company, by the ocean, tranquilly and blissfully watching hours of Love It or List It, Say Yes to the Dress, The E Fashion Police’s review of Oscar fashion.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: With us, is Jenn Parsont, a teacher at Dover High School, an aficionado of shoes, a woman who knows and loves toe covering options.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: And are not light, warmth, water and love what we need more of in February as well? Sunny movies are necessary in February.
It is however, a wonderful time to muse joyfully on two of my favorite things: love and laughter.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: When I skied last weekend at Gunstock, I deliberately left all distracting screens at home. It was glorious and free.
JOYFUL MUSINGS: Two bucks and a string of Susan’s pearls of wisdom.
