Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella announces the identity of the New Hampshire State Trooper who discharged his firearm during a shooting incident on the early morning of April 13, 2025, on Route 16 in Dover, New Hampshire that resulted in the nonfatal shooting of Moriah Infinjer (age 28).

During that incident, Trooper Colin Burgess fired his service pistol five times, striking Ms. Infinjer in the shoulder area.  Trooper Burgess has approximately two and a half years of law enforcement experience.  Ms. Infinjer was treated for the gunshot wound that she received and has pending criminal charges in connection with her alleged conduct on the morning of April 13.  Those charges are being prosecuted by the Strafford County Attorney’s Office.

The exact circumstances surrounding the shooting incident remain under investigation.  It is anticipated that the report regarding the incident and whether Trooper Burgess’s use of force was justified will be released once the investigation is completed and the separate criminal case against Ms. Infinjer has been resolved.
