AG: Unidentified Elderly Woman Died of Blunt Impact Injuries

Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall, and Exeter Police Chief Stephan Poulin announce investigators are currently responding to Exeter, New Hampshire for an investigation into a suspicious death.

Police were first notified Sunday, February 9, 2025, of the death of an elderly female at 133 Front Street, Unit 4, in Exeter. The cause of death was not immediately apparent. Today, (Tuesday) an autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner revealed that the woman suffered blunt impact injuries and that the nature of her death was not natural.

Investigators are currently speaking with other household members, and there is no known threat to the general public at this time.  The identity of the deceased female will not be released until all next of kin have been notified.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.  More information will be released as it becomes available without impacting the integrity of the investigation.
