AG: Autopsy Set Friday for Unidentified Man in Suspicious Death in Milford

Police responded to gunshots at Dollar Store in Milford Thursday night.

Attorney General John M. Formella and New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall announce further information related to the November 7, 2024 suspicious death last night in Milford, New Hampshire.

On November 7, 2024, at approximately 8:26 p.m., 911 dispatchers received a phone call for gunshots being fired outside of a local business (Dollar General) at 70 Wilton Road in Milford, New Hampshire.  Upon arriving at the address, responding officers discovered evidence of multiple gunshots being fired in the parking lot. Investigators were led to the rear of the property where they found a deceased adult male, who appeared to have suffered a gunshot wound.  An autopsy of the deceased male is scheduled for Friday morning at 9 a.m. in Concord by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance.  Anyone who was in the area of the Dollar General at 70 Wilton Road in Milford who was either in the parking lot or saw or heard the gunshots, and who have not already spoken with investigators, is asked to please contact the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit at 603-223-3856, or via email at MCU@dos.nh.gov. No further information is anticipated to be released until after the autopsy is complete, and the deceased’s family have been notified of his death.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation.  Additional information will be released as it becomes available while protecting the integrity of the investigation.
