Man Convicted in Hooksett Stabbing Death

Attorney General John M. Formella announces that Dillon Sleeper was convicted by a jury of Second Degree Murder for recklessly causing the death of Jason Wirtz in Hooksett on July 24, 2022, under circumstances manifesting an extreme indifference to the value of human life by stabbing him with a knife.  The verdict was returned by the jury yesterday afternoon after approximately two weeks of trial.

Mr. Sleeper will be sentenced on the afternoon of December 18, 2023, at the Merrimack County Superior Court in Concord.  The defendant is held without bail pending sentencing.

This case was prosecuted by Assistant Attorneys General Benjamin Agati and Charles Bucca with assistance from the New Hampshire State Police, the Hooksett Police Department, the Bow Police Department, the Merrimack County House of Corrections, and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections.
