DURHAM, NH – New Hampshire Governor Chris Sununu continues to have high approval ratings after his announcement not to run in 2024.

Nearly half of state residents say Sununu is above average or one of NH’s best governors. Former Senator Kelly Ayotte is the best-known of several candidates seeking to replace Sununu. The high cost of housing remains the most important problem facing the state.

These findings are based on the latest Granite State Poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire Survey Center. One thousand, one hundred and fifty-six (1,156) Granite State Panel members completed the survey online between August 17 and August 21, 2023. The margin of sampling error for the survey is +/- 2.9 percent.
