The New Hampshire Department of Safety (NHDOS) and the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) are continuing to closely monitor water levels across the state.
Due to the extensive recent rainfall received, and expected to continue throughout the weekend, New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol will continue to monitor the conditions on waterways across the state.
Additional patrols are present to encourage boaters to operate safely.
Marine Patrol urges all boaters to be mindful of their wake and the potential impacts on the shoreline, docks, and wildlife.
Boaters should utilize extra caution when operating in channels or close to shore and stay aware of the potential for floating debris and navigational hazards now underwater that are normally visible.
Additionally, NHDES has advised the agency is continuing to do everything it can to lower water levels by increasing discharge from State-owned dams, while also protecting residents and infrastructure downstream.
