When I asked my daughter what she would write in my obituary, she responded, “She liked hard boiled eggs, yogurt, and oatmeal.” Apparently that sums up my life – foods easy to grab and go, filling and simple to prepare. What more could I want?
Today I muse joyfully on obituaries and how they serve the living, invite you to find out about a person who has passed on, a person who you may have not known in person but who you might meet in their death, in words left behind. Should I be dead, and at this moment, and as far as I know, I am not, you’d know that I was most definitely not a foodie.
