InDepthNH.org is bringing affordable obituaries to New Hampshire. Our new service, InDepthNH.org Obituaries, will enable you to place obituaries statewide and in over 2,700 newspapers across the country. This service is available now through your local funeral home so feel free to ask their directors about this new service. And for those who choose to place the obituary themselves, that will be an option starting Aug. 29.
InDepthNH.org is the only statewide online news outlet that brings readers affordable obituaries – just a $99 flat rate regardless of length (includes one photo). We are a non-profit news outlet published by the New Hampshire Center for Public Interest Journalism with a dramatically growing statewide readership.
Many of you know us already from news reporting, editing, obituaries and advertising here and at other New Hampshire news outlets. Bob Charest, Nancy West and Beverly Stoddart have put this project together for you and feel passionately about making placing an obituary one less thing to worry about while you are grieving a loved one and one that all families can afford. We’re here to help.
We view affordable obituaries as part of public service journalism and promise never to have a paywall on our site. And you can share our obituaries on your Facebook pages. We will share them, too.
If you have ever had sticker shock when placing an obituary for a loved one, then InDepthNH.org will take that pain away. You will also be able to afford to place the obituary in your local newspaper at their cost if you choose, and then get statewide coverage as well by also placing it at InDepthNH.org for only $99.
