BEDFORD, N.H. – New Hampshire Housing has released its 2026 Housing Report, Housing Is New Hampshire’s Future: Why More Homes Matter for Our Workforce, Economy, and Communities, a new analysis of housing affordability, housing production, workforce trends, and regional housing needs across the Granite State.
The report finds that housing affordability remains a significant challenge statewide, with the median single-family home price reaching a record $575,000 and only 15% of New Hampshire households earning enough income to afford that home. The report also examines how housing availability is affecting employers, workforce recruitment, commuting patterns, and economic growth.

This report highlights both the progress being made and the work that remains to ensure New Hampshire has enough housing to support residents, employers, and future growth.”
The report includes updated housing affordability data, housing production trends, regional housing need projections, and insights from employers across multiple industries on the challenges housing shortages present for hiring and retaining workers.
