County Attorney John Coughlin said Dylan Reynolds, of Keene, was sentenced following his conviction on one count of human trafficking, two counts of kidnapping, seven counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault, two counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon, one count of reckless conduct with a deadly weapon, and one count of witness tampering.
A Hillsborough County jury convicted the Defendant on these charges (in addition to six domestic violence-related misdemeanors) following a two-week trial in May 2026.
Reynolds held his victim captive in his apartment for approximately two weeks, during which he subjected her to repeated sexual and physical assault. The victim attempted to escape, but Reynolds was able to stop her and assault her further. The victim was ultimately rescued by Manchester Police Officers conducting a welfare check.
In handing down the sentence, the Hon. David A. Anderson remarked on the unique facts of this case, which involved elements of domestic violence and the power of addiction. Reynolds withheld addictive substances from the victim and used their prior relationship to violently coerce her.
The Judge acknowledged as troubling the graphic assaults, the Defendant’s threats to kill the victim and her family, his threats to smash her skull in with a baseball bat, and his violent cutting of the victim’s hair.
In the aggregate, Reynolds was sentenced to 50 years in the New Hampshire State Prison, stand committed, with additional suspended time. Reynolds will be eligible for parole after serving 20 years in prison.
