Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck on Interstate 95

SEABROOK, N.H. – One person is deceased after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Interstate 95.

At 6:58 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, State Troopers assigned to the Troop A barracks received a report of a crash involving a tractor-trailer and a pedestrian on I-95 in Seabrook. When Troopers arrived, they confirmed that, for reasons that remain under investigation, a pedestrian had been in a traffic lane and was struck by a 2014 Volvo tractor-trailer. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The identity of the pedestrian is being withheld pending next of kin notification and the ongoing investigation. The driver of the tractor-trailer, identified as Pablo Velez, 52, of East Hartford, Connecticut, remained at the scene and is fully cooperating with the investigation.

All northbound lanes were closed for approximately two hours. The road was fully reopened at 10:15 a.m.

Additional Troopers from the Troop G barracks assisted Troop A at the scene, in addition to members of the Seabrook police and fire departments, and the New Hampshire Department of Transportation.
