AG: One Man Dead from Gunshots, Another Stabbed, Recovering in Peterborough

PETERBOROUGH – An incident between two men appears to have ended with one dead from gunshot wounds in the driveway and the other man suffering from multiple stab wounds Sunday, according to a news release from the Attorney General’s Office.

Attorney General John M. Formella said members of the Attorney General’s Office and the New Hampshire State Police Major Crime Unit were responding to a report of an untimely death in Peterborough at around 8:30 p.m.

“At around 8:30 p.m. this evening (Sunday), local law enforcement responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence on Grove Street. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male deceased in the driveway with what appeared to be gunshot injuries. An adult male resident of the home was also located suffering from what appeared to be multiple stab wounds and was transported to an area hospital for treatment,” the release said.

Based on the investigation to date, the incident appears to have involved an interaction between the two adult males. There is no known threat to the public at this time, the release said.

The exact circumstances surrounding this incident remain under active investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
