AG: Man Found Dead Outside In Manchester Was Stabbed To Death

Update Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.:  Attorney General John M. Formella and Manchester Police Chief Peter A. Marr said an arrest has been made in connection with the man who was stabbed to death in Manchester Tuesday night.

The man who was stabbed to death in the area of Barry Avenue and Spruce Street in Manchester has been identified as Yan Leek, 35, of Londonderry, New Hampshire.  An autopsy conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined he died from a stab wound to the chest, and the manner of death was homicide.

Mark Delisle, 32, has been charged with one count of second-degree murder for knowingly stabbing Yan Leek.  He will be arraigned Thursday at the 9th Circuit Court in Manchester.

The Attorney General’s Office and Manchester Police Chief Peter A. Marr are investigating the suspicious death of a man found in the street in the area of Barry Avenue and Spruce Street in Manchester Tuesday night.

The man appeared to be unconscious with a stab wound in his chest when police were called at about 9:20 p.m. He was taken to Elliot Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police asked anyone who may have information about the incident to call Detective Guillaume Joffres (603-792-5518) or Detective Harrison Elwell (603-792-5555) of the Manchester Police Department.

More information is expected to be released after an autopsy is performed Wednesday by the state’s chief medical examiner.
