One Person Died Following Fire at Boscawen Home

BOSCAWEN, N.H. – New Hampshire State Fire Marshal Sean P. Toomey, Boscawen Fire Chief Timothy Kenney and Boscawen Police Chief Jason Killary announce that one person is deceased and a joint investigation is underway after a fire at a home in Boscawen.

At 9:41 p.m. Monday, Dec. 1, 2025, members of the Boscawen Fire Department responded to 14 Gage Street for a reported fire. The initial first responders who arrived at the scene searched the home and found an adult male in a bedroom on the second floor. The man was taken out of the home through a window and lifesaving measures were attempted but were ultimately unsuccessful. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The name of the victim is being withheld pending an autopsy scheduled at the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

The Boscawen Fire Department received assistance from agencies in multiple surrounding communities to knock down the fire.

Investigators with the New Hampshire State Fire Marshal’s Office have responded to the scene and are leading the investigation into the cause and origin of the fire. Members of the Boscawen fire, police and public works departments assisted investigators at the scene.
