PITTSBURG – Gov. Kelly Ayotte visited the U.S. Customs and Border Protection station at the Pittsburg Border Station Tuesday for a tour and briefing on the Northern Border Alliance with federal, state, and local law enforcement, according to a press release issued Wednesday morning.
Law enforcement agencies present included United States Customs and Border Protection, United States Border Patrol, New Hampshire State Police, the Coös County Sheriff’s Office, and the Pittsburg Police Department, the release said.
Ayotte was in Pittsburg Wednesday morning for the Governor and Executive Council meeting, which InDepthNH.org is covering.
Ayotte’s budget included an additional $600,000 in funding for the Northern Border Alliance and $1 million in funding for a new Northern Shield program to combat drug trafficking into New Hampshire’s northern counties, the release said.
