Concord, NH – Attorney General John M. Formella, New Hampshire State Police Colonel Mark B. Hall and Pittsfield Police Chief Joseph Collins announce an update regarding the ongoing investigation into a suspicious death that occurred late Tuesday night on Tilton Hill Road in Pittsfield, New Hampshire.
At approximately 11:39 p.m. on June 24, 2025, officers from the Pittsfield Police Department responded to a report of a pedestrian struck by a vehicle in the 440 block of Tilton Hill Road. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male who was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators are looking into a confrontation reported at a nearby residence leading up to the incident.
An autopsy will now be conducted by the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
At this time, the exact circumstances surrounding the incident remain under active investigation by the New Hampshire State Police, the Pittsfield Police Department, and the Attorney General’s Office. All parties involved have been identified and witnesses will continue to be interviewed by investigators. There is no known threat to the general public.
