CONCORD – Upwards of 150 people rallied outside the State House Thursday to support continued funding of Medicaid with no rate cuts, no premiums, and no work requirements.
When the rally ended, they planned to deliver an estimated 1,000 letters to Gov. Kelly Ayotte and demand an in-person meeting.
Gov. Ayotte’s chief of staff returned at 4 p.m. and handed Lisa Beaudoin a note indicating the group can meet with the governor at 3 p.m. on April 29. With that news, the Medicaid supporters cheered and left the governor’s office.
