Timeline Updated in Baby Jane Doe’s Death Investigation

Manchester Police are continuing their investigation into the tragic discovery of a deceased baby in the waters at Pine Island Park. Detectives now have a more refined timeline regarding when the child was placed in the water.

Through further investigation, and with the cooperation of members of our community and the general public at large, we have been able to narrow down the timeline to a window of two days. We believe the baby was placed in the water sometime between Tuesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 27th, before she was found at approximately 4:00 PM on Thursday, March 27, 2025.

As previously disclosed, at that time, we received a report of an object floating in the water, which was later identified as the body of a newborn female. A thorough autopsy was conducted on Friday. While the autopsy revealed certain relevant information, additional tests are ongoing. While we cannot release further details at this stage, we are treating the case as a suspicious death investigation.

We have already received approximately 50 tips through our dedicated tip line and Crimeline. While investigators are actively following up on each lead, we are still seeking the public’s help. This case  needs those in our community who have information to come forward.

Specifically, we are looking for information from anyone who might have seen someone discarding an object into the water at Pine Island Park between Tuesday, March 25th and Thursday, March 27th. As we previously requested, we would also like to see any photographs or videos taken at Pine Island Park or Pine Island Pond during that time.

We are also requesting information about anyone who was pregnant during that period but is no longer pregnant and does not have a newborn.

Manchester Crimeline is offering a $2,500 reward for information regarding Baby Jane Doe. Anyone with information, no matter how small it may seem, please reach out. You can contact our dedicated tip line at 603-716-7236, where a detective is available to take your call or text.

Alternatively, you can reach the Manchester Police Crimeline at 603-624-4040. Tips and photos can also be submitted anonymously through the Crimeline website at www.manchestercrimeline.org. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to those who have already assisted in this investigation.
